      <image:caption>Danny Vergara is the lead instructor and owner of DVMA. He began his journey in Martial Arts after enrolling his two daughters at a local Martial Arts facility. He and his wife joined shortly after his daughters making training a family activity. He quickly realized his love of Martial Arts and sought to become an instructor. He has earned his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has a 2nd degree black belt in Krav Maga. He achieved his dream of opening his own Martial Arts studio in April 2021. His desire is to help others achieve their own personal fitness goals regardless of their age or fitness level while learning techniques for how to defend themselves if necessary.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Victor Canela is the lead Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at DVMA. His interest in Martial Arts began after struggling with being bullied by his peers as a pre-teen and teenager. He began his journey in Martial Arts under Danny Vergara and developed a passion for the art of BJJ. His current BJJ rank is a purple belt under Laban Propst of Lucas Lepri in Knoxville, Tn where he continues to train. His desire is to help others learn the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, to one day own his own BJJ academy, and to become a world champion in BJJ.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>BRAZILIAN JIU - JITSU Mon &amp; Wed 8:00 - 9:00 PM Brazilian Jiu - Jitsu is a form of martial arts that focuses on ground fighting with an objective of gaining control of your opponent through leverage, technical holds and submissions. The BJJ class will incorporate strength and flexibility in addition to techniques and strategies used to gain control of and submit your opponent. Most altercations will go to the ground in approximately 30 seconds therefore BJJ is an important and useful form of self defense in the event of an attack. This class is designed to challenge your overall physical fitness and mental focus.</image:caption>

This class offers teens an opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment with peers who are experiencing similar pressures that occur during this stage. Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu components will be covered for all skill levels.</image:caption>

The Tues/Thurs class provides an opportunity for teen girls and women to exercise and learn to defend themselves in a setting with other girls and women who have similar concerns and needs. The Mon/Wed class is open to adult women and coed teens to provide an open atmosphere for any teen to train. Training includes a combination of kickboxing, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Students in this class will work on general fitness, cardio, strength and flexibility while working on learning and advancing basic skills.
